TUI Airline has signed on as the first launch customer for Navitaire Stratos, a next-generation retailing solution designed for low-cost and hybrid carriers. This move marks the latest phase in a two-decade partnership between TUI and Navitaire (an Amadeus company) and aims to modernize the airline’s digital commercial setup.

Key Innovations & Features:

  • Modern Shopping Cart: A new feature mirroring major e-commerce platforms, allowing travelers to add items, save selections, and return later to complete bookings with updated pricing.
  • Personalization: The platform leverages AI to offer tailored recommendations and dynamic offers relevant to the specific traveler.
  • Third-Party Integration: Customers can book ancillaries such as car rentals, activities, and accommodations directly through TUI’s digital channels.

Strategic Impact: Navitaire Stratos is built on a cloud-native stack and aligns with IATA Offer and Order standards, enabling TUI to transition away from the legacy ā€œNew Skiesā€ solution. The goal is to increase revenue through better conversion rates and upselling while improving the overall passenger experience.

Peter Glade, TUI’s Chief Commercial Officer, described the platform as a ā€œcornerstoneā€ of their transformation, designed to create a smoother, more contextual shopping experience for travelers. The implementation will be led by TUI InfoTec.
